The Book, or not The Book
I’m turning 365 Masquerades into an art book. The book is meant to hold all of the 365 characters, extra material, post-project notes, drawings, anecdotes, pre-project thoughts, statistics, press coverage and much more.
However: Getting it done for real (to actually make physical copies out of a computer file) is expensive, and I have no budget (this is and has always been a project that I’m doing completely on my spare time). Therefore I must see if there is a general interest from people. A full colour, hard cover, some 400 pages thick book is unfortunately going to cost the buyer a bit more than a book from a commercially produced organisation.
Therefore I have decided to ask those of you who think you sincerely might be interested in buying a copy of this yet-might-to-come art book to send an email to BOOK@365MASQUERADES.COM – absolutely no strings attached at this point! – simply so that I might get an idea of the (huge) work to make a book is worth it.
Unfortunately I have no price tag for the book at this point, but should there be an interest, I’m going to email you all to give you the details later, and then you might decide whether you want to go ahead or not.

Project notes
Hidden hints
There actually is a sublime but very intended hint to Lars von Trier’s Antichrist movie to be found amongst the characters in my masquerade project. Here is the key. I was wondering if anyone else out there would see it, so far I didn’t hear anything about it but I don’t mind. It’s a bit of a bonus, for me at least.

365 Masquerades – The book (?)
Today I’ve made 59 pages of the (maybe) upcoming 365 Masquerades book!
If I can have it printed or not depends on what interest there might be from you all. Who would be interested in buying the collection of all the pics from 365 Masquerades in a professionally printed artist book with some 410 pages? It costs quite a bit to have it made, but the number of books will be very limited and hand numbered.
Also: I’m working on a one-copy-only handmade log book with statistics, anecdotes and ideas connected to the project (middle pic). This book will be part of the upcoming art exhibition in April.
So, a book – YES, NO? “Yes” meaning you would actually considering buying it even if it costs a bit more than a commercially produced art book.

It’s not over yet!
My dear friends! Here’s a little greeting and a reminder to let you know that neither 365 Masquerades nor this website is done yet. Since the last day of the masquerades I’ve been sewing a lot. Here’s one of the victorian inspired things I did and/or remade.
So NOW: I’m starting to work on the 365 Masquerades art exhibition who will be opening on April 24th at Makeriet in Malmö, Sweden. The process of making this exhibition will be documented on 365masquerades.com and on Instagram and Facebook as well. Keep following to se the whole thing.
Also, occasionally I’m gonna post masquerades whenever I make one, how do you like that? A vampire might appear later today… See you soon. ❤

On October 24th, the official Instagram account (with 61 million followers..!) featured one of my masquerades in one of their posts. People flooded to my @365masquerades account, making this one of the craziest social media events of the whole year.
